Fall/Winter Newsletter

The next meeting will be held on December 14, 2011, 7:00 pm at the Weymouth Road Firehouse, Enfield, CT. We will be holding the nomination of officers and board members. We will also make out the schedule for next year. This is a very important meeting for members to attend. This is the time to ask questions and voice your concerns. This is also a great time to meet the officers and board members that help make the club what it is. Please try and join us.

What a year, near record snowfall, tornados, record rain, earthquake and last of all, a record snowfall in October that brought our area to its knees. Despite all of this, the club still had a good year. With that said, I think it is time to reflect and have some fun.

Game Dinner plans are under way. The date is February 25, 2012. Get your tickets ($30.00) at the meetings. The dinner will take place at the Elk's. Last year's dinner was spectacular and this one will be even better. We will also be having another great raffle. We could always use additional help in the kitchen or for clean-up. This is a good way to get those work hours in.

The 2012 Dues must be paid by the first of the year. Dues are $150.00. Members not paid by February 1, 2012, will be subject to loss of membership. If you have not fulfilled your work requirement, you are subject to a $50.00 non-working fee that is to be added to our 2012 dues making the dues for non-workers $200.00. I will be including the non-working list in the next mailing but you should know who you are. To avoid the non-workikng fee the following year, work the 6 hour requirement. Work fulfillment is also required for turkey and/or deer permits. If you have a problem with making the payment due to the present economic climate, we are certainly willilng to talk. Call Tony or Joe for details. Pleae make your dues payable to the Enfield Hunters Club and mail to Ed. Dues can also be paid at the meetings.

If you do not wish to continue as a member, could you pleaes drop me a note. We would like to bring in new members in time for the fishing season.
